Grieving For The Innocent

We join with millions of people around the world in grieving for the innocent, young children of Newtown, Connecticut, whose precious lives were stolen from them. We grieve for their mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers whose lives will never be the same. We grieve for the surviving children in whose memories this tragedy will live on. We grieve for a world in which this kind of senseless inhumanity exists.  Our prayers are with the Newtown families. May the memory of those lost guide us to find the means to prevent such outrages in the future.

In this season of Thanksgiving, we want to send our warmest wishes and prayers to all of you, especially those who are still struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. It is sometimes hard to remember how lucky we are to be alive and well and have our children around us in the face of so much loss and destruction.
