New Jersey Walks for Tourette Syndrome
On Sunday April 2, 2017, Susan and Jack Holender had the pleasure of participating in NJ Walks for TS, a remarkable annual event initiated and coordinated by NJCTS (New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders).
The event was a pleasurable enjoyable day and empowerment for kids, by kids, and about kids. Susan & Jack walked and interacted with enthusiastic participants along with a very special and passionate 17-year-old Youth Advocate for TS, Hallie Hoffman. Hallie has had TS since she was 6 years old. She is asking us all to spread awareness and tolerance for this misunderstood neurological disorder TS. Hallie hopes to end bullying and the stigma surrounding TS. She is also a gracious, sweet and inspirational young girl to all she comes into contact with.
