Taking Part in Ella’s Retreat Fine Feathered 5K Run
On Sunday May 31, 2015, we had the delight of taking part in the Fine Feathered 5K Run, a notable annual fundraising event initiated and coordinated by Ella’s Retreat. Ella’s Retreat is the culmination of co-founders Joe and Audrey Walsh for their seven-year old daughter, Ella.
It was also our great pleasure to make a grant from the Susan and Jack Holender Children’s Fund to Ella’s Retreat. Ella’s Retreat provides temporary lodging for families members who must travel far distances away from home with children receiving proton cancer therapy treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
The Susan & Jack Holender Children’s Fund hope is to help children with cancer reach their potential while bringing meaning to their lives and smiles to their faces.
